"Face Forward"

Dawn Wickerson, NMUC, was our scripture reader this morning and Rev. Nancy built her reflection upon the Biblical story found in 2 Kings that relates how Elijah and his follower, Elisha, crossed the Jordan and, with the witness of 50 observers, Elijah went to Heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha asked that Elijah's prophetic powers could be passed to him after his master's death.

Rev. Nancy's reflection opened with the recall of one of her teacher's call to attention -- "Face forward!" She went on to discuss how Jesus turned his 'face' to Jerusalem as his ministry drew to a close in Jerusalem. Notes on the Reflection, "Face Forward," are attached as a file.

Guest musician today was Gianetta Baril who offered music for meditation on her harp. Brent and Sarah were on keyboards and in the balcony this morning were PSALT team members, Craig and Debra. Counters this morning were Dave Layton and Dave Mitchell and Sacred Service involved the help of Janet, Donna and Lisa. Welcoming St. Davidians on Zoom was Brenda. Thanks to everyone for your participation in today's service.
