Meet Our Featured Ambassadors Whom We Congratulate and Thank

Namraata Arora Singh was recently chosen for the year long 'She Creates Change' program by 'Be The Change Academy' launched by Change.Org in India. Namraata is also a Charter Partner and the Founder and Coach, Life Beyond Motherhood.

Despite millions of dollars being spent by organizations on uplifting women, gender equality is still far from a reality. One of the main reasons for this is the deep-rooted socio-cultural fabric that disempowers women by letting women believe that they are secondary. This belief is further reinforced by the lack of support available to women for their child care and elder care responsibilities, often leading them to pay a high price for their heightened level of consciousness.

When Donna Mill's daughter encountered the all too prevalent insecurity of bullying at school, she knew something must be done to break this cycle. It must have been divine timing that brought Donna to the Charter for Compasion, and joining the ambassador cohort with Sande Hart and the Women and Girls group.

In response to her daughter’s experience, and in alignment with her core beliefs of kindness and compassion, Donna began a Women and Girls
Wisdom and Wellness group in her town, Moscow, Idaho. Adolescence is often a time when girls feel at their most vulnerable. Feelings of awkwardness, insecurity, and increased hormones are age-appropriate experiences girls journey through as they enter middle school and beyond. What would it feel like to be supported by women who have not only survived adolescence but thrived? This group offers sage wise woman space for girls who wish to feel supported as they grow into strong, beautiful people.

Ishita Pandey, while not formally an Ambassador, we want you to know about her! Ishita is a 10th grader from Tamil Nadu, India.  Last year, our Partner Laurette Folk published her story “Carry Forward the Compassion” in the student edition of the
Compassion Anthology, We are honored to share with you Ishita’s haunting piece, poignant in it’s goal to raise awareness on this global issue of child marriage.

Women and Girls Support School Children in Yemen

Charter for Compassion Yemen is asking for our help with their school project. While any contribution will be helpful, $10 would help to pay for school fees, $20 a school uniform and $90 support a student's overall needs.
Contribute to the Yemen School Fund by donating any amount.  Please note in the designation field: YEMEN. Contact Sande Hart, director of the Women and Girls sector about ideas you may help to adopt the Yemen Project.

Most of us have been conditioned to ignore more than fifty natural sensitivities that connect us with nature's beauty, health, and regenerative ways. This omission underlies our unhealthy stress and disorders. The Organic Psychology chapters and activities in this book help our fifty-three senses embrace natural systems. The systems, in turn, compost and transform industrial society's pollution of our mind and body into personal, environmental, and spiritual well-being.

A powerful, practical guide for cultivating compassion—the scientifically proven foundation for personal achievement and success at work, at home, and in the community. For decades, we’ve been told the key to prosperity is to look out for number one. But recent science shows that to achieve durable success, we need to be more than just achievers; we need to be compassionate achievers.

With the The Compassionate Achiever everyone wins—we can each achieve success in our own lives and create more productive workplaces, and healthier, less violent communities.

What Difference Does It Make?

Each week we ask you to consider giving a donation to the Charter. For one thing it helps us keep going. It allows us to network across our compassionate cities, finding ways to help with their issues whenever possible, it gives us leverage to create new education and healthcare programs and it pays the bills for keeping the website going, platforms we use to maintain our database, supporting our Education Institute and other services we provide.

Help us to broader our network by one million new Charter members.  Please spread the word about the Charter, get others to
affirm the Charter.  Check out the homepage of the Charter and see the numbers grow on our new counter.  Encourage each person who signs to give a donation.  Can you image if everyone gave two dollars? The first thing we would do is to get a new compassionate cities coordinator and set up an endowment so we wouldn't have to get asking for donations.  Contact us if you need forms for have folks affirm the Charter. Please donate.
