A Message from Rev. Nancy Nourse:
Jesus says in today’s Gospel reading:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not let them be afraid."
This Sunday let’s allow these words to wash over us,
And draw us into this sacred time and space that we share together.
These words also become a platform for the next stage of Jesus mission and ours.
So we hear these words today as gifts which are passed along
and which continue to take root in our lives,
that they may bring some peace.
And perhaps they will inspire us to step forward
Into the love that risks putting Jesus’ words into practice everyday.
