Farewell and New Beginnings

This morning's service was very special because it was at this service that we bid farewell to our Pastoral Care Minister, Rev. Debbie Stockdale, who will begin her retirement on June 30, 2021. Janet Clare, Chair of Pastoral Care Ministry team,  presented a gift and flowers to Debbie on behalf of the congregation.

Rev. Debbie has served as our Pastoral Care Minister since 2018, however she, Michael and their family have been a part of St. David's Community for three decades or so. Her reflection today built upon the Parable of the Mustard Seed. It was filled with hope and expectation as we move into Stage three of COVID-19 and she moves into retirement.

Heather McIntosh and Finnegan were our guests for "Little Gifts of New Life." Finnegan is the McIntosh's new puppy and is a much loved pet. Thank you, Heather, for your uplifting talk this morning.

The Communion Table was lowered to the main floor of the Sanctuary this morning and it was from there that Brent's choir shared their ministry of song with us in surround formation. The music reflected Rev. Debbie's favourite hymns and we all enjoyed singing along with her.

Rev. Debbie's text for her reflection is a file attachment.
