Sunday morning's service had several highlights. Guest musicians, Tokie and Maya Brideau on violin and Colleen Charter, accompaniest for the Angel voices added their ministry of music to our worship experience. Scripture was read by Betty Smith. Amy drew her reflection upon a quote by Audre Lorde: "We have to consciously study how to be tender with each other until it becomes a habit," and upon Paul's letter to the Corinthians, a message of reconciliation. Amy's five year old daughter 'passed the peace' with her mom as she ran up the aisle in a moment of delight for all of us.
Anthems bracketed Amy's reflection, as the Angel Voices sang I Come to Him (S.DeFord) and He Sent His Son (Gabbott & Moody). Colleen Charter, accompaniest for the Angel Voices also offered our Postlude. Flowers in the sanctuary were donated by Marjorie Chrapko and family in remembrance of son, Randy, who passed away in 1995.
