MONDAY NIGHT BOOK STUDY

Just how certain are you that you know and understand the basic teachings of Jesus?

How deeply would you like to dig into some key gospel texts that can enrich and challenge your Christian faith?  

We have chosen a book based on the Bible for our study, Monday evenings, to help you in that exciting quest.   This fall we will be studying -   WALKING IN THE DUST OF RABBI JESUS: How the Jewish Words of Jesus Can Change Your Life by LoisTverberg and Ray Vander Laan. 

 This title goes a long way to deal with the truth that before Jesus was our saviour, he was our teacher (rabbi). We have not had a study like this one before.   We'll focus on the original Jewish (not Gentile) context from which Jesus emerged. We'll apply important original Hebrew teachings to contemporary realities. We'll concentrate on Hebrew understandings because Greek thought has biased Christian thinking over the centuries.
